Yes. Your local browser connects to our Remote Browser in a remote session. We plan to release locally installed clients in the future.
A modern web browser that can support HTML5, a broadband internet connection with at least 2 Mbps capability, and outbound access to the internet via HTTPS (Port 443).
Up to two monitors are supported. Click the 'Dual monitor' menu item in the session menu and move the new window to your second monitor.
Yes. Users can set the time zone, locale, and input method to be used in their streaming sessions to match their location and language preferences.
Yes. You can copy and paste text between your local device and the Remote Browser in the same way you copy and paste between applications on your local device.
No, you must have internet connectivity to stream the Remote Browser content.

You begin by registering for an account with SafeJAM's identity system, then purchase a remote browser session in the region of your choice.
Once you have registered and/or logged in, navigate to your profile page and click the 'Connect' button.
No. At the end of every session the Remote Browser is destroyed. This is a security feature. However you may login into to any of your online accounts within the browser during the temporary Remote Browser session.
If you closed the browser window but the session is still running, click the 'Catalog' menu item in the session menu to find and restart your browser.
Click the 'Profile' menu item in the session menu and then 'End Session'.
Click the 'Full screen' menu item in the session menu.

The minimum requirement is a broadband internet connection with at least 2 Mbps capability. 5 Mbps is recommended.
Our Remote Browser protocol has a maximum round-trip latency recommendation of 250 ms. The best user experience is achieved at less than 100 ms.
When launching the application, select the browser region closest to your physical location. Using a distant region cause slow screen updates, audio/video lag and session disconnects.
Check your internet connection. Use wired ethernet or strong Wi-Fi, check you bandwidth capability, and connect to the closest region.
We currently offer Remote Browsers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Choose you closest region for best performance. Use any region you wish for accessing web sites & apps but expect slower performance over greater distances.
You may reconnect to an existing session within a 10 minute period. After that you will receive a new session.
Navigate to your remote-browser.com profile page and click the 'Connect' button. If it's within 10 minutes, you will be reconnected to your existing session.
Your session time has expired. Please leave us some feedback about your experience and make another purchase.

Firefox. We feature Firefox in our Remote Browser product. There is no relationship, direct or implied, between SafeJAM Ltd and Mozilla Foundation. Firefox is a trademark of the Mozilla Foundation in the US and other countries.
No. All content is contained within your Remote Browser session. At the end of the session all content is destroyed.
Remote Browser is operated by a UK registered company called SafeJAM Ltd. We comply with all applicable UK laws.
For the best experience, use a fully up to date version of Google Chrome or any Chromium-base browser.

File storage

No. All files and storage is destroyed at the end of each session.
Yes. Click the 'My Files' menu item in the session menu and then select 'Temporary Files'.
Yes. Click the 'My Files' menu item in the session menu and then select 'Temporary Files'. Click the 'Upload file(s)' button.
Yes. Save any web content to the MyFiles->TemporaryFiles directory. Then click the 'My Files' menu item in the session menu and then select 'Temporary Files'. Click the relevant file name to download via your local browser to your device.
No. 'TemporaryFiles' are deleted along with the remote session.

You can run one session per region. Open additional local browser tabs for the remote-browser.com profile page and click 'Connect' for the alternative region(s).
Not with the same user account. Use a local in-private window to log into remote-browser.com with a second account.
Yes. Use the 'Session Info' bookmark in the Remote Browser toolbar. You will see the session time remaining. Alternatively, browse to the remote-browser.com profile page and you will see the number of minutes remaining.
Yes. Use the 'Extend Session' bookmark in the Remote Browser toolbar, select your extension time, and follow payment instructions. As this is a Remote Browser in another location, your bank will probably ask for additional verification.
None. Each Remote Browser session is destroyed after use by design.

The Remote Browser is streamed using the Amazon DCV protocol, which is capable of streaming at high-quality over varying network conditions. It streams video and audio encoded using standard H.264 over HTTPS.

Use the 'Session Info' bookmark in the Remote Browser toolbar. You will see the Remote Browser IP address, User-Agent and Browser Fingerprint.
Your browsing traffic is from the remote browser to the internet. No-one can see which web sites you have visited by inspecting your device, DNS service, local network, or internet service provider.
No. A VPN tunnels out of your local network and can mask your location but all web traffic is still processed by your local browser.
Yes. The only benefit will be masking your location from the Remote Browser service. You may experience connectivity issues depending on your location, the location of the VPN server, and the region in which the Remote Browser is running. We recommend a direct connection to the closest region for best performance.
Streamed video and user inputs are sent over HTTPS and are SSL-encrypted.

This is the identity system used by SafeJAM Ltd for all its online services.

Yes, Invoices are accessible via the billing portal on your profile page. An email is also sent with a link to each invoice.
