Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the rules governing your behaviour when using the services provided by SafeJAM Ltd (“SafeJAM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. By using our service, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Purpose of This Policy

SafeJAM provides access to remote application sessions delivered via secure cloud infrastructure. This Policy exists to ensure that all users can use the service safely, securely, legally, and without disruption to others.

You agree to use the service responsibly and in good faith.

2. Lawful Use Only

You may only use the service for lawful purposes.

You must not use the service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation in the United Kingdom or any other jurisdiction
  • Commit, facilitate, or promote criminal activity
  • Distribute, create, or store illegal material
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or impersonation
  • Violate the rights of others

You are solely responsible for your actions while using the service.

3. Security and Platform Integrity

You must not attempt to undermine the security, integrity, or normal operation of the service or its supporting infrastructure.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system, account, or network
  • Attempting to bypass authentication or security controls
  • Attempting to interfere with session controls, timers, or usage limits
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities
  • Attempting to interfere with infrastructure provided by SafeJAM or its technology providers
  • Attempting to intercept, monitor, or access other users’ sessions or data

Any attempt to compromise the platform or its users is strictly prohibited.

4. Misuse of Computing Resources

You must use the service in a reasonable and proportionate manner.

You must not use the service to:

  • Consume excessive computing resources in a way that negatively impacts other users
  • Conduct denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attacks
  • Run automated tools designed to overload systems
  • Operate bots or automated systems intended to abuse platform resources
  • Conduct unauthorised automated scraping or crawling
  • Use the service as infrastructure for attacking other systems

The service is provided for legitimate interactive use, not for abusive automation or infrastructure misuse.

5. Harmful, Abusive, or Offensive Conduct

You must not use the service to create, access, store, or distribute content that:

  • Is abusive, threatening, or harassing
  • Is defamatory or unlawful
  • Promotes violence or harm
  • Is obscene or illegal
  • Encourages criminal activity

You must not use the service to harm others or their rights.

6. Malware, Hacking, and Exploitation

You must not use the service to develop, distribute, operate, or store:

  • Malware, viruses, or ransomware
  • Exploit tools or intrusion utilities
  • Credential harvesting tools
  • Phishing infrastructure
  • Any software designed to infiltrate, damage, or disrupt systems

The service must not be used as a platform for cyber-attacks.

7. Network Abuse and Communications Misuse

You must not use the service to:

  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited communications
  • Operate spam infrastructure
  • Conduct phishing campaigns
  • Abuse network services
  • Misrepresent your identity

You must use the service in a way that respects others and the wider internet ecosystem.

8. Account Responsibility and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You must:

  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Not share your account with others
  • Not allow unauthorised access to your account
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

You must not attempt to access accounts belonging to other users.

9. Respect for Privacy and Data

You must not use the service to:

  • Collect personal data without lawful basis or consent
  • Monitor others without authorisation
  • Harvest personal information
  • Violate privacy rights

You are responsible for ensuring your activities comply with applicable data protection laws.

10. Circumvention of Service Controls

You must not attempt to bypass or manipulate service limitations, including:

  • Session time limits
  • Payment requirements
  • Access controls
  • Usage tracking mechanisms

Any attempt to evade service controls is prohibited.

11. Responsibility for Session Activity

You are fully responsible for all activity conducted within your session.

SafeJAM does not monitor session content except where required by law.

You accept full responsibility for:

  • Software you run
  • Content you access
  • Actions you perform
  • Network activity originating from your session

12. Fair Use and Respect for Other Users

You must use the service in a way that does not negatively affect other users.

You must not:

  • Disrupt the service
  • Interfere with other users
  • Degrade service performance intentionally

The platform is a shared environment and must be used respectfully.

13. Enforcement and Consequences

If you violate this Acceptable Use Policy, SafeJAM may take action including:

  • Immediate suspension of your session
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent termination of your account
  • Blocking future access
  • Reporting activity to law enforcement where required

We may act without prior notice where necessary to protect the service, our users, or others.

14. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any misuse, security issue, or violation of this Policy, please report it immediately by contacting us at securityandcompliance@safejam.com.

We take security and abuse reports seriously.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

16. Relationship to Terms of Service

This Policy forms part of the SafeJAM Terms of Service.

Violations of this Policy constitute violations of the Terms of Service.
